Manuel Burgener (b. 1978, Switzerland) lives in Bern, Switzerland. His work is marked by a subversive manipulation of the viewers’ perception. Burgener’s intricate craftsmanship of material and form allows an ironic distortion of expectation, often renegotiating perceived limits between art and design and pro-cess and result. His latest solo shows were held at Secret Space, Biel; Salon des Amateurs, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf; Espace d'Art Contemporain, Porrentruy and at Bernheim, Zurich.
