Klodin Erb | Un citron dans la peau | Ferme-Asile

Solo Show

DATES: 10.10.26-10.01.27

LOCATION: Ferme-Asile, Sion, Switzerland

Like a seismograph detecting the challenges of our society, Klodin Erb probes the limits of painting through a language that is sometimes expressive, sometimes minimal, pop, sometimes surreal. With serial canvases, monumental installations, hypnotic soundtracks, videos, and collages, she blends artistic references with motifs from popular culture. In the eclectic world thus forged, opposites coexist to give birth to joyful hybrids: we encounter famous or familiar figures (wolves, lemons, ghosts, humans), undergoing processes of metamorphosis that blur the boundaries between self and other.

For this solo exhibition, Klodin Erb takes over the Grange with a collection of works that explore the interdependencies among living beings. With humor and commitment, she evokes the power dynamics between different life forms. Ignoring the usual categories that hierarchize species, she invites us to reconsider our ways of being alive: what animates us, connects us, and transforms us? At the heart of an immersive and sensory space-time, a dialogue is established with this other  who expresses themselves in an unknown language, but who perhaps resides deep within us.
